Best answer

Correct option is (C) \(\sqrt{x^{2}+y^{2}}\)

A = (x, 0)

B = (0, y)

\(\therefore \text{Distance} = \sqrt{(x_2-x_4)^2 +(y_2-y_1)^2}\)

\(= \sqrt{(0-x)^2 +(y-0)^2}\)

\(= \sqrt{(-x)^2 +(y)^2}\)

\(= \sqrt{x^2+y^2}\)
