UPSC CDS I 2024 Final Merit List Released: 590 Candidates Selected

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the final merit list for the CDS I 2024 exam. Candidates who appeared for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam can visit the UPSC official website, upsc.gov.in, to view and download the merit list.

A total of 590 candidates have been selected, including 120 women and 470 men. These candidates will be inducted into the 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) and 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men), which is set to commence in April 2025.

UPSC CDS I 2024 Final Merit List Released: 590 Candidates Selected

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final merit list for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) I 2024 exam. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now visit the official UPSC website to view and download the merit list.

A total of 590 candidates have been selected, including 120 women and 470 men. These candidates will join the 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) and 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men), set to begin in April 2025.

How to Check and Download the Result:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website.
  2. Click on the link labeled "Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 (OTA)" in the "What's New" section on the homepage.
  3. The PDF containing the names of the selected candidates will open on the next page.
  4. Search the PDF for your name and roll number.
  5. Download the result PDF and print it for future reference.

What’s Next:

  • The Army Headquarters will verify the candidates' date of birth and educational qualifications; the results are provisional at this stage.
  • Medical examination results, which were not factored into the merit list, will also play a crucial role in confirming candidates' eligibility.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a rigorous training program at OTA, Chennai, to prepare for their roles as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.

Additionally, within 15 days of the result announcement, UPSC will release marks and other details for candidates who were not selected, available for 30 days on the official website. Those not recommended can also access their performance details via the Public Disclosure of Scores initiative.
