This pole slipping relay has been designed to protect synchronous Generators against the possibility of the machine running in the unstable region of the power angle curve which would result in power oscillations and pole slip. The relay consists basically of one directional relay and one blinder relay operating in conjunction with a 40-80 milli seconds static timer. Intended primarily for installation between the generator and associated transformer (preferably on the generator terminals)
