A compound (80 g) on analysis gave C = 24 g, H = 4 g, O = 32 g. Its empirical formula is  CH2O.

Explanation :-

C = 24 g, H = 4 g, O = 32 g

So, Molecular formula = C2H4O2

 So, Empirical formula = CH2

 (Simplest formula).
