Given that P = 1bar = 105N/m2

 Patm = ρgh , for water equivalent

105 = 1000 × 9.81 × h

h = 10.19m                                                .......ANS

Patm = ρgh , for Hg

105 = 13.6 × 103 × 9.81 × h

 h = 0.749m                                              .......ANS

 ANS: 10.19m, 0.75m
