The correct option is A) τ = M × B.

Torque (τ) is the twisting force that tends to cause rotation. The axis of rotation is the point where the object rotates. 

The torque experienced by current carrying loop of magnetic moment m vector placed in a magnetic field B vector is given by option A as

τ = M (vector) x B (vector) 

Hence torque is the vector cross product of magnetic moment m and magnetic field B.
