Best answer

(i) A ∪ B = {1,2, 3, 4}

∴ (A ∪ B)’ = ∪ – (A ∪ B) = {5, 6, 7}

(ii) (A ∩ B) = {2,3}

(A ∩ B)’ = ∪ – (A ∩ B) = {1,4, 5,6} …… (1)

⇒ A’ = ∪ – A = {4, 5, 6, 7}

B’ = ∪ – B = {1, 5, 6, 7}

∴ A’ ∪ B’ = (1,4, 5, 6, 7} ……. (2)

From (1) and (2) (A ∩ B)’ = A’ ∪ B’
