The decomposition products of CFCs destroy ozone as it is shown in the following reaction: 

CF2Cl2(g) + hv → Ci(g) + CF2Cl(g) 

I(g) + O3(g) → Cl(g) + O2(g) 

Cl(g) + O(g) → Cl + O2(g)
