Best answer

\(Mean =\frac{ \sum fx}{N}\)

= \(\frac{(24p\, +\, 1228)}{100}\)

Mean = 16.6

So, \(\frac{(24p\, +\, 1228)}{100}\) = 16.6

24p + 1228 = 1660

24p = 1660 – 1228 = 432

p = \(\frac{432}{24}\)

= 18

The value of p is 18.
