Suppose the second charge in the previous problem is - 10 x 10-6 C. Locate the position where a third charge will not experience a net force.

(Two charges 2.0 x10-6 C and 10 x 10-6 C)

q1 = 2 ×10–6 c       q2 = – 1 × 10–6 c       r = 10 cm = 10 × 10–2 m
Let the third charge be a so, F-AC = – F-BC  

So, distance = 24.14 + 10 = 34.14 cm from larger charge
