State similarities and differences between the laboratory thermometer and the clinical thermometer.

Similarities between laboratory thermometers and clinical thermometer is that they both have mercury in them and are used for measuring temperature.

Differences Clinical thermometer is used to measure human body temperature whereas laboratory thermometer is used to measure temperature of other object which has higher temperature than human body temperature. 

  • The temperature range of clinical thermometers is 35°C-42°C and that of laboratory thermometers is -10°C-110°C.
  • The least count of both the thermometers is different.
