Remember your first day at school? How did you feel? Who became your first friend? How did your first day go? Listen to your friend’s experience sitting next to you. We all come to school, but so many children in our country do not go to school for many reasons. Form a group of four-five and discuss the following:

a) Reasons why these children do not go to school.

b) What remedial measure can be taken to make them come to school?

c) What can you do for these children?

a) 1. They are poor. 

2. They do not have enough food to eat. 

3. They help their parents by working. 

4. They are not healthy.

6. Schools are far away from their homes.

b) 1. Provide food, clothes and books free to such children.
