Social and economic atmospheres determine the nature of political culture. These include diversity in religion, caste and social status ; industrialization and traditional customs. The effect of religious faith can be clearly observed in the political culture of Islamic countries. Economy is also an important factor that deeply affects political culture. The political culture of developed countries (rich countries) is different from that developing countries. It is because the attitudes and expectations of the people of these two different kinds of countries are different.
