Various programs and projects have been adopted, to create an attraction for local places among the tourists:
1. Safari Village –
The ideal symbol of state’s “Nature Conservation” and “Nature Preservation”, such as Khejadli (Amrita Devi Rashtriya Udyan), the dedicated, oathbound protection of blackbucks in villages of Oran, Gocher Bhumi and Bishnoipopulated regions and love for animals overwhelms the foreign tourists to a great extent.
2. Boat ride –
For tourists to enjoy the lakes, along with good restaurants by the lakeside, boating facilities are also available.
3. Light and Sound show –
To give the tourists cultural and historical information about the state in addition to entertaining them, the tourism department has started light and sound shows in evenings at important tourist spots.
4. Ropeway –
To show the tourists a natural view of high mountains ranges and forests, rope ways have been constructed at various places.
5. Organizing Fairs and Festivals –
The tourism department organizes 40 fairs annually. Some products of Rajasthan tourism have become very famous, such as Pushkar Fair, Desert festival of Jaisalmer, a Summer Festival of Mount Abu, Elephant festival of Jaipur, Teej and gang our fair, Dheenga Gavar fair of Jodhpur and Marwar festival, etc.
6. Transport or Tour Package –
In order to provide convenient and comfortable transport facilities to the tourists, arrangements are there at sightseeing locations at Jodhpur, Sariska, Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur. Hawa Mahal tour, Mewar package, Wild Life tour, Rajasthan tour, Golden Triangle, Desert Triangle, etc.
7. Others –
- The project named “crocodile park” has been started.
- Elephant rides for tourists at Amer, near Jaipur.
- Taking tourists on a tour of Jaisalmer Desert Villages on camelback.
- Car rally is organized to attract foreign tourists for an adventurous journey through the Thar Desert.
- Organizing polo matches (on horses) between foreign/domestic tourists and local players.
- Group horse riding in Pushkar fair.
