Bazaar is that place where the shopkeepers (sellers) and the customers (buyers) gather and obtain goods of their necessity through exchange.

The following forms of bazaars are most prominent:

1. Shops in the Neighborhood : These are those shops which provide things of daily need to the customers in the villages at small level. They have no time or rule. These are available to all and serve as a medium of providing immediate services.

2. Weekly Bazaar : These bazaars are held for one or two particular days in a week. There venue is fixed. Goods of daily needs are available in these markets at a comparatively cheaper price.

3. Shopping Complexes and Malls : Facilities of these types of shopping complexes and malls are available in the cities. Shops selling various types of goods are found under a single roof in shopping complexes. Multistorey air conditioned shopping complexes are found in big cities. Different types of goods are available on different storeys there.

4. Special Bazaars : These bazaars are established to sell a particular goods only.

For example – cloth market, iron market, grain market, vegetable market, etc.
