A trapezium has area 60 m2. Its parallel sides being 12 cm and 8 cm. Find its height.

Let the height of trapezium = h cm.

Then, Area of trapezium = 1/2 x (sum of parallel sides) x height

or 60 = 1/2 x (12 + 8) x h

or h = (60 x 2)/20 = 6 cm.

Hence height = 6 cm.
