Sohan has (5/8) bananas. He gave (1/2) bananas to Monika. How many bananas Sohan has left with?

Sohan has bananas = 5/8

And he gave bananas to monika bananas = 1/8

∴ Remaining bananas with Sohan = (5/8) – (1/8) 

= (5 - 1)/8 = (4/8) = (1/2)
