1. Colours of Ball: 

Test match — Red 

One day match — White. 

Red Colour Ball: Red colour ball retains its colour till completion of 80 overs and the batsman can easily pick this ball in test matches. 

White Colour Ball: White colour ball is more visible in flood light than red colour ball. 

2. Follow on: When a team bats first and leads by at least 200 runs in 5 days’ match. 150 runs in 3 day match. 100 runs in 2 day match. In a one day match with two innings per side, 75 runs.
