Using vector method, prove that cos(α – β) = cos α cos β + sin α sin β.

Take two points A and B on the unit circle with centre as origin 'o'. So |vector OA| = |vector OB| = 1

From (1) and (2), we get 

cos(α + β) = cos α cos β + sin α sin β
