Best answer

FeSO4.7H2O is green in colour and loses water of crystallisation when it is heated.

It is then decomposed to Fe3O, (brown coloured), SO2 and SO

FeSO4.7H2O + Heat FeSO+ 7H2O

2FeSO (s)+Heat  FeSO+SO2(g) +SO3(g)
