Best answer

The slope of velocity – time graph represent acceleration. Since, Slope

= \(\frac{∆y}{∆x}\)

∆y = Change in y – axis

∆x = Change in x – axis

y = Velocity = v

x = time = t

So, ∆y = ∆v = Change in velocity

∆x = ∆t = Change in time

So,Slope = \(\frac{∆v}{∆t}\) = \(\frac{Change\,in\,velocity}{Time\,Taken}\)

We know that Acceleration = \(\frac{Change\,in\,velocity}{Time\,Taken}\)

So, Slope of Velocity – Time graph is acceleration
