Organisms which can produces their own food like sugar and starch from inorganic substances using photosynthesis in the presence of chlorophyll are called producers. And an autotroph is also an organism that can produce its own food using light, water, carbon dioxide, or other chemicals.

Green plants, algae, and certain bacteria are example of autotrophs that are producers.
