Best answer

Let B join after \(x\) months. Then profit is divided in the ratio 45000 x 12 : 30000 x \(x\)

Given, \(\frac{45000\times12}{30000\times{x}}\) = \(\frac21\)

⇒ 45000 × 12 = 60000 x ⇒ x = \(\frac{45000\times12}{60000}\) = 9 months

∴ B joined after 9 months.
