In the given sentence, there are 9 d’s ; 3 a’s ; 3 e‘s ; 2 y’s ; 1 i; and 1 l.

∴ The total number of selections = (9 + 1) (3 + 1) (3 + 1) (2 + 1) (1 + 1) (1 + 1) – 1

= 10 × 4 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 2 – 1 = 1919.
