At first we have to find, 

The square root of 2300 

So, the square root of 2300 is:

The remainder is 91 

Hence, (47)2 < 2300 

Now, the next perfect square number is (48)2 = 2304 > 2300

Hence, 

The smallest number that must be added to 2300 to get a perfect square is: 

2304 – 2300 = 4
