Best answer
Marked price of the chain=₹ 5000
Discount given=15%
`implies S.P.=M.P.((100-"Discount Percentage"))/(100)=(5000)((100-15)/(100))=₹ 4250`
`:.` The selling price of the chain =₹ 4250
Also given that the jeweller makes a profit of 6.25%
`implies C.P.=(S.P.(100))/((100+"Profit Percentage"))=((4250)(100))/((100+6.25))=₹ 4000`
`:.` The cost price of the chain=₹ 4000.
