B = I

B = A-1 I ---------1

A-1= 1/|A| adj A --------- 2

|A| = 3 x 2 – (-4) x (-1)

= 2

C11 = 2 C12 = 1

C21 = 4 C22 = 3

Cofactor matrix A = \(\begin{pmatrix}2&1 \\ 4 &3 \end{pmatrix}\)

Adj A = \(\begin{pmatrix}2&1 \\ 4 &3 \end{pmatrix}\)

\(\begin{pmatrix}2&4 \\ 1 &3 \end{pmatrix}\)

Putting in 2

A-1 = 1/|2| \(\begin{pmatrix}2&4 \\ 1 &3 \end{pmatrix}\)

\(\begin{pmatrix}1&2 \\ 1/2 &3/2 \end{pmatrix}\)

Putting in 1

B = A-1 I

= A-1

\(\begin{pmatrix}1&2 \\ 1/2 &3/2 \end{pmatrix}\)
