(p → q) ^ (q → ~p) 

≡ (~p \(\lor\) q) ∧ (~q \(\lor\) ~p) {p → q ≡ ~p → q}  

≡ (~p \(\lor\) q) ∧ (~p \(\lor\) ~q) {commutative property} 

≡ ~p \(\lor\) (q ^ ~q) {distributive property}
