Question given below consists of two statements, an assertion and reason. Select the number corresponding to the appropriate alternative as follows 

(A) If both assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion 

(B) If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion 

(C) If assertion is true but reason is false 

(D) If assertion is false but reason is true.

Assertion: If a book is placed on table at rest then force exerted by table on the book and weight of the book formation reaction pairs according to Newton 3rd law of motion 

Reason: Since both are equal in magnitude and opposite in directions.

(D) If assertion is false but reason is true.

Here; weight of the book is because of the Gravitational Attraction Between earth and book. There will also be a gravitational force between book and table, which is very small, hence always neglected.

That Gravitational force between table and book form an Action-Reaction pair.
