Answer is : (b) (i) alc.KOH and (ii) NaNH2

For the conversion of 2,3-dibromobutane to 2-butyne following steps can be used

Step 1

In this step, dehydrohalogenation occurs where 2,3-dibromobutane gets converted into 2-bromobut-2-ene.

Step 2

In this step, also dehydrohalogenation occurs where alkenyl halide on treatment with soda amide gives 2-butyne.
