Correct Answer - 2
Step 1: Calculate the molarity of `98% H_(2)SO_(4)` by mass:
`M=((% by mass)(d_("soln"))(10))/((mm_(H_(2)SO_(4))))`
`=((98)(1.80)(10))/((98)) mol L^(-1)`
`=18 mol L^(-1)`
Step 2: Calculate the volume of `98%` acid required
`M_(i)V_(i)=M_(f)V_(f)`
`V_(i)=(M_(f)V_(f))/M_(i)`
`=((0.1 M)(1 L))/((18 M))`
`=0.00555 L`
`=5.55 mL (1 L=1000 mL)`
