       Polar high-pressure belt -              

  • The polar high-pressure belt exists between 75 degrees to 90 degrees latitude in both the hemispheres.
  • This is areas of high atmospheric pressure around the north and south poles.
  • In this zone, the temperature is permanently low, and the air is dense and heavy.
  • These polar regions have permanent high caps.
