The critical reasoning question is based on a short argument, a set of statements, or a plan of action. For each question, select the best answer of the choices given.

Lunar water is water that is present on the moon. Liquid water cannot persist at the moon's surface, however on 18 November 2008 , the moon impact probe was released from ISRO, it was reported that it had discovered more than 40 permanently darkened craters near the moon's north pole that were believed to contain around 600 million metric tonnes of water-ice. There are many uses of this information which was recorded, few of which are given below.

Which among the following below options does not talk about the further uses of lunar water?

1. The presence of large quantities of water on the moon would help in rendering lunar habitation cost-effective as transporting water from earth would be expensive.
2. With future investigations if found about the large quantities of water, it could be used to provide liquid water for drinking and plant propagation.
3. The water could be split into hydrogen and oxygen by solar panel-equipped stations to provide breathable oxygen.
4. Lunar water has two potential origins one being water bearing comets.
5. None of the above.

Correct Answer - Option 4 : Lunar water has two potential origins one being water bearing comets.

Option 4 is the correct answer as it is the only statement which does not talk about the uses of lunar water, instead it talks about how it was originated, one of the reasons being water bearing comets. The other options talk about the further uses of lunar water such as it could help in rendering lunar habitation, providing water for drinking and plant propagation and such.
