Correct Answer - Option 1 : 42

Concept:

Maximum speed if whole pressure energy head converted to kinetic energy head,

i.e. PE = KE ⇒ \(\frac{P}{ρ g}=\frac{V^2}{2g}\)

Calculation:

Given:

P = 900 kPa, ρ = 1000 kg/m3

\(⇒ V = \sqrt {\frac{{2P}}{ρ }} = \sqrt {\frac{{2 \times 900 \times {{10}^3}}}{{1000}}} \)

V = 42.4 m/s
