    • Out of the entire population of the Madhya Pradesh state, 72.37% of people reside in rural areas as per Census 2011.
    • 52,557,404 people out of the total population live in a rural area in which the number of males is 27,149,388 and females are 25,408,016.
    • In rural areas, the female sex ratio was 936 females per 1000 males.
