Correct Answer - Option 3 : (A) is true but (R) is false

Assertion (A) : Alauddin Khilji prohibited the sale and use of liquor in Delhi.

Reason (R) : He wanted to uphold religious and moral standards of people.

To protect his region from rebellions Alauddin Khilji  decided  to prohibited the sale and use of liquor in Delhi.

"Alauddin Khilji prohibited the sale and use of liquor in Delhi" given statement is true but reason given "He wanted to uphold religious and moral standards of people." Cannot be true. Reason of Prohibiting Sale of liquor will not be necessarily the reason to uphold the religious and moral standards of people it can be any of the reason but not definitely the above mentioned.

Hence, (A) is true but (R) is false is correct statement.
