Correct Answer - Option 2 : 37 ∶ 19

Given:

In bottle A the ratio of alcohol to water is 3 ∶ 1

In bottle B the ratio of alcohol to water is  4 ∶ 3

Calculation:

Alcohol in bottle A,

⇒ 3/(1 + 3) = 3/4 part

Water in bottle A,

⇒ 1/(1 + 3) = 1/4 part

Alcohol in bottle B,

⇒ 4(4 + 3)= 4/7 part

Water in bottle B,

⇒ 3/(4 + 3) = 3/7 part

Total alcohol in bottle A and B = 3/4 + 4/7 = 37/28

Total water in bottle A and B = 1/4 + 3/7 = 19/28

Now, the ratio of alcohol and water is,

⇒ 37/28 ∶ 19/28

⇒ 37 ∶ 19

∴ The ratio of alcohol and Water is 37 ∶ 19.
