Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs. 15

Given:

Total sum = Rs. 75

The ratio of number of coins =  4 ∶ 3 ∶ 8

Calculation:

Let assume that number of coins Rs. 2 be 4x

Number of coins of Rs. be 3x

The number of coins of Rs. 0.50 be 8x

The total sum from Rs.2 = 2 × 4x = 8x

The total sum from Rs.1 = 1 × 3x = 3x

The total sum from Rs.0.50 = 0.50 × 8x = 4x

According to question:

⇒ 8x+ 3x + 4x = 75

⇒ x = 5

⇒ The total sum from Rs.1 = 3x = 3 × 5 =Rs.15

∴ The total sum from Rs. 1 is Rs.15

The correct option is 2 i.e. Rs.15
