Correct Answer - Option 4 : 39 years

Given:

A : B = 7 : 9

A : C = 4 : 5

B = C + 1

Calculation:

Let the ages of A and B be 7x and 9x.

So, C's age = 9x - 1

7x/(9x - 1) = 4/5

⇒ 35x = 36x - 4

⇒ x = 4 years

B's age after 3 years = 9 × 4 + 3 = 39 years

∴ The answer is 39 years
