Correct Answer - Option 3 : 22 cm

Given:

Volume of cylinder = 577.5 cm3.

Height of cylinder = 15 cm

Formula used:

Volume of cylinder = πr 2h

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Here, r = radius, h = height

Calculation:

Volume of cylinder = 577.5 cm3.

⇒ πr 2h = 577.5 cm3

⇒ (22/7) × r2 × 15 = 577.5

⇒ r2 = (577.5 × 7)/(22 × 15)

⇒ r2 = 12.25 cm2

⇒ r = 3.5 cm

Circumference of circle = 2 × (22/7) × 3.5 = 22 cm

∴ The circumference of its circular base is 22 cm.
