Correct Answer - Option 3 : 3 to 7

Given:

Total applications = 120

Number of males = 70

Number of applicants possess driving license = 80

Calculation:

According to the question,

Number of females = 120 - 70

⇒ 50

For a maximum, all 70 males have a driving license.

The maximum number of males possess driving license = 70

For a minimum, all 50 females have a driving license, then

The remaining 30 driving license posses by males

So, the minimum number of males possess driving license = 30

Now, the minimum to the maximum number of males having driver's licenses = 30 ∶ 70

⇒ 3 ∶ 7 = 3 to 7

∴ The minimum to the maximum number of males having driver's licenses is 3 to 7.
