Correct Answer - Option 4 : 4

Given:

Numbers 45 and 67

Formula used:

In cases where largest number asked which when divided by some numbers leaves the some remainder in each case, we find  subtract remainders from given numbers to get new numbers and find their HCF of these numbers to get the required largest number.

That is, required largest number = HCF(number – remainder, number – remainder)

Calculation:

Required largest number = HCF(45 – 1, 67 – 3)

= HCF (44, 64)

= 4
