Correct Answer - Option 4 : 992

Calculation:

Largest 3-digit number which is divisible by 9 = 999

But, gives remainder 2 ⇒ 999 + 2 = 1001, which is not a 3-digit number

∴ We have to take number less than 999 which is divisible by 9, that is, 990

But, gives remainder 2 ⇒ 990 + 2 = 992

∴ Largest 3-digit number which divided by 9 gives remainder 2 is 992.
