Correct Answer - Option 2 : 45

Given:

3/8 student left the school after 25 days

 Formula used:

M1 × D1 = M2 × D2

Calculation:

Let the number of students initially was = 8

⇒  the number of students remaining after 25 days = 8 - 3/8 of 8 = 5

⇒ 8 × D = 5 × ( D + 12 )

⇒ D = 20

⇒ The number of expected days initially = 25 + 20 = 45

∴ The number of expected days initially was 45.
