Correct Answer - Option 4 : 7

Given

A Started business with 45000 and was joined afterward by B with 54000. the profits at the end of the year were divided in the ratio 2: 1

Concept used

Capital × Time = Profit

Calculation

Ratio of capital of A and B

A : B = 45000 : 54000

A : B = 5 : 6

A joins for 12 months and B joins after x months

As per the question,

⇒ \(\frac{{5\ \times\ 12}}{{6\left( {12 - x} \right)}} = \frac{2}{1}\)

⇒ 5 = 12 - x

⇒ x = 7
