Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs.560
Calculation:

Let the price of rice in April be Rs. x

And the price of wheat in April be Rs. y

According to the question

The price in May will be 1.2x of rice and 1.12y of wheat

Now quantity bought in April = 450/x

As per the question, extra money spend on rice in May

⇒ (450/x) × 0.2x = Rs. 90

So extra money spend on wheat

⇒ 150 – 90 = Rs. 60

Let the amount spent on wheat be k in April then,

⇒ (k/y) × 0.12y = 60

⇒ k = Rs. 500

So money spent on wheat in May

⇒ 500 + 60 = Rs. 560

∴ The money spends on the wheat in May is Rs. 560.
