Correct Answer - Option 4 : 20

Given:

25 paise, 50 paise and 1 rupee coins are in the ratio of 3 : 4 : 5 in a bag.

The total value of money is Rs. 31.

Calculation:

Let, the number of coins are 3y, 4y and 5y respectively.

Total number of money is Rs. 31 = 31 × 100

⇒ 3100 paisa

Accordingly,

(25 × 3y) + (50 × 4y) + (100 × 5y) = 3100

⇒ 75y + 200y + 500y = 3100

⇒ 775y = 3100

⇒ y = 4

Number of 1 rupee coins is 5 × 4 = 20

∴ There will be 20 coins of 1 rupee.
