Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 53.4/kg

Given:

Rate of two types sugar = Rs. 38/kg and Rs. 43/kg

Concept used:

(CP + CP × profit %) = SP

CP = cost price

SP = selling price

Calculation:

Total amount of 1 type sugar = 5 × 38 = Rs. 190

Total amount of 2nd type sugar = 8 × 43 = 344

⇒ Total amount of both the types = 190 + 344

⇒ 534

130% of Rs. 534 = 534 × 13/10

⇒ Rs. 694.2

SP = 694.2/(5 + 8)

⇒ 694.2/13

⇒ 53.4

∴ Selling price of the mixed sugar is 53.4/kg
