Correct Answer - Option 2 : 325/9%

Given:

A number is multiplied by 7/6 instead of 6/7 by mistake.

Calculation:

Let the number be 42 (LCM of 6 and 7)

Number multiplied by (6/7)= actual product = 42 × 6/7 = 36

Number multiplied by (7/6)= wrong product = 42 × 7/6 = 49

Error = 49 - 36 = 13

Error percentage = (error/actual product) × 100 = 13/36 × 100 = 325/9%

∴ The required error percentage is 325/9%.
