Correct Answer - Option 2 : Intra - individual differences

Individual differences are the variations we observe among individuals of any group in a particular characteristic, such as temperament, energy level, friendship patterns, and parent-child attachment. Individual differences stand for those differences which in their totality, distinguish one individual from another.

Intra-individual differences:

  • Intra-individual differences are differences that are observed within the same person when they are assessed at different times or in different situations.
  • The variations between two or more traits, behaviors, or characteristics of a single person.
  • The difference that exists between two or more abilities within the individual.

For example, certain aptitude tests measure a testee's strengths in mathematical, verbal, and analytic abilities.

Thus, it can be concluded that option 2 is correct.

  • Inter-individual differences- Inter-individual differences are differences that are observed between people.
  • Multi-area individual differences- Multi-area individual differences are those differences that are observed between people in different areas.
